We love a nice down-filled coat. Great for keeping superwarm when you find yourself in sub-arctic conditions. The down filled coat has a definite place in your wardrobe but the wrong coat could be sending out the wrong message entirely and a good down-filled coat can cost a small fortune. So why go there? We all know who 'owns' our favourite look. Who wears it particularly well. Who continually impresses with their innate sense of style or whose images have long been on your fashion moodboard. Recap. Keep it simple. Elizabeth and James and Jour/Ne (Browns) do exquisite versions. Asos have a multitude of styles at fashiontastic prices.

Dig your old Marharishi trousers out by all means but leave the pale denim with applique to the younger fashionistas. Just take care, this is all we are saying x
